Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026.

Kitchen Cabinet is an AI campaign manager for downballot candidates and the people helping them. It is a free beta. Questions go to privacy@kitchencabinet.app.

What we collect

  • Your login. The username you sign in with.
  • What you put in the app. Your campaign details, chats, uploaded files, the campaign memory the app builds from your chats, and graphics it makes for you.
  • Donor lists, trimmed. When you upload a contact list, phone numbers, email addresses and street addresses are deleted and never saved. We keep names, relationships and giving history so the app can rank people and write call sheets. You dial from your own list.
  • Usage counts. How many messages you sent, which specialists you used, and any errors. Never the words you wrote.
  • One cookie. It keeps you signed in for up to 7 days.
  • Signup emails. If you leave your email on our homepage, we keep it, along with the country your visit came from.

How we use it

Only to run Kitchen Cabinet for you: to answer your questions, remember your campaign, and fix problems. Nothing is ever sold.

We use your data because you asked us to provide Kitchen Cabinet to you. We keep usage counts because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the app working.

Who else handles it

  • Vercel hosts the app and stores your data. Vercel encrypts its storage. Kitchen Cabinet also encrypts every record with its own key before saving it. Someone who got into the storage without that key would only see scrambled text.
  • Anthropic provides the AI (Claude). Your messages and files go to Anthropic so the AI can answer. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, it doesn't train its models on them. It deletes them within 30 days, unless they're flagged for breaking its usage rules or it's legally required to keep them.
  • Tavily runs web searches. When the research specialist looks things up, it sends search terms like your district and your opponent's name to Tavily. It also uses Tavily to read web links you paste in. Your chats don't go to Tavily. Tavily's option to use search queries to improve its service is turned off.
  • Resend sends our emails. When someone signs up on the homepage, Resend delivers their address to us.

All four are based in the United States, and your data is stored there.

We share your data with no one else, unless the law requires it.

Who can see your data

  • Each login only sees its own data.
  • We don't read your chats or files. The admin page shows counts only.
  • If you run into a problem, you can click “Share this chat with Kitchen Cabinet” to send that chat to report it.
  • Kitchen Cabinet holds the encryption key, so it is technically possible to open your data. We don't, unless you share a chat by reporting a problem.

Your choices

  • Settings, then Download my data gives you a copy of everything stored for your login.
  • Settings, then Start over permanently deletes everything for your login.
  • You can delete single chats from the sidebar.

You have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to get a copy, and to object to how we use it. Email privacy@kitchencabinet.app. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

How long we keep it

Until you delete it. Anthropic keeps what it receives for up to 30 days, as described above.

Signup emails: until you ask us to delete them.

Please don't put in

Bank or card numbers, passwords, any type of identification numbers, or any other sensitive information. The app doesn't need any of it.

Beta

Kitchen Cabinet is still a beta. It has not had an outside security audit yet. Kitchen Cabinet is a free, non-commercial project. It is not a registered business, it does not charge for anything, and it does not take payments or sell advertising.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date and tell you in the app.
